K's Big Day of Fun!

K starts school tomorrow (I still can't believe it and tears fill my eyes every time I think about it!), so we had a day dedicated just to her and whatever she wanted to do...

It started with oatmeal, and then a trip to "blue park," one of her favorite parks where she always makes new friends. Teh-ee Bear came along and I think he had just as much fun as K...riding in the sole-er,...
...swinging alone,...
...and swinging with K.
Teh-ee Bear was never far behind.
He even got to try some of her "cold oatmeal" (the sand was cold in the shade under the play structure, so when I asked her what she was cooking, she said "cold oatmeal").
Our next stop on K's fun tour was the train station to ride the train. This one wasn't our train, but K and Teh-ee Bear checked it out just to make sure...
Then, they sat down on the bench and waited...
and checked, again.
Finally, we were on the train!
And of course needed some snacks.
K pointed out the leaves, the "l'il oceans" (the marsh), the big ocean, the beach, and choo choo park!
We got off the train right by our favorite breakfast place, Claire's, and stopped for some pancakes. They were delicious and K just kept eating!
We caught the train back and headed home.
This time, Teh-ee Bear shared K's seat.
And she waved to everyone we passed.
In the car on the way home from the train station, I asked K if she had a good Kensley Day. She said, "No. I had a good Mama's Day!" My thoughts exactly!

After a great nap, we went to the "treat store" (frozen yogurt shop, Swirls) to get a "treat" (a little yogurt and a lot of sugary toppings that she doesn't typically get to eat!), and hang out at the splash pad with K's friends, Keaton and Wy-Wy. K was loving it! She always gets so excited when she gets to hang out with them, and as such, she barely ate her "treat!"
I think they were a little apprehensive to follow K into the water, but she was just happy being with them and was giggling up a storm!
I had the most wonderful day with my little (big) girl! I could not ask for anything more! And even though I know she is ready for preschool, I will miss her terribly for those 3 hours tomorrow!
