We quickly found that it was amazing! We ate, drank, floated, played in the sand, played cards, danced (B did!) and generally just had an awesome time! They played music (quite a few tunes from your sailing mix, Grandpa Bill!), and we got to stare at the beautiful scenery and fabulous boats anchored in the bay. K is getting really good at Gin (look out, Grandpa Shelby!). She played cards with Patrick while B kept score, drew pictures in the score book and listened to music.
B rocked his « speedos » again today, and I gave in again to them swimming without their rash guards. The sunscreen here seems to work much better than that in the US, and doesn’t even burn their eyes! Go figure! I remember reading about it years ago in a magazine, but that the French sunscreens weren’t yet approved by the FDA. I hope it comes through soon! But it is interesting that people here do not seem to be as concerned with sun exposure...everyone is tan (except the tourists!).
The cards were K’s favorite part of the day, and the listening to music while lounging was B’s favorite! Mine was hanging out together in the water and laughing! It doesn’t get any better!
