Des moustiques et un oiseau!

We woke up before 10:00 this morning, so we took the bus and hiked to a new beach...Villefranche-sur-Mer! It’s just the next ville West, and the beach was totally different...all rocks and lots of big boats anchored! We enjoyed the refreshing water and the kids played on the rocks just the same. And   just ecstatic to wear his new « speedos »! Check out the muscles!!! We took the train back and the kids loved it, as usual. It was also cheaper than the bus!

Poor K is just like her maman...the mosquitoes love her...it must be because she is so sweet! She is covered with mosquito bites and even has one on her forehead! We are constantly rubbing them with cortisone and anti-itch. Have I mentioned that TSA at Heathrow made me dump all of the kids’ allergy medicine?! It would have come in handy right about now!

We had a dinner reservation at Les Garçons tonight at 7:30. Little did we know how hard it would be to get there. We left at 7:00 even though it’s only 12 minutes away. 2 cancelled Uber’s, 2 taxi drivers who refused, and a train ride later, we arrived by 8:00. Luckily, they still took us, and oh, was it worth the wait! We sat outside in a courtyard on this beautiful evening and ordered an incredible bottle of wine. We were enjoying the scenery and were waiting for our appetizers when, SPLAT! A seagull decided to let it’s presence be known...all over my placemat, on my dress, on Patrick’s shirt, and all of our water glasses! Fortunately, the wine was safe! Murphy’s law!!! But the meal was magnifique!!! It’s good luck, right?!

K and B said their favorite part of the whole day was riding the train! It never gets old!
