St-Jean-Cap-Ferrat

There is a little peninsula off the coast here called St-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, which houses the most beautiful and exclusive real estate in the South. We decided to hike around and made our way to the Villa et Jardins Ephrussi Rothschild, where Baroness Béatrice Ephrussi Rothschild lived once upon a time. The pink palace and gardens were spectacular! K really got a kick out of the kids’ tour and treasure hunt, but B and Patrick...not so much. They couldn’t wait to leave, and B stopped posing for pictures all together. But he sure did like to find trouble!

K’s favorite part of the day was visiting the French garden st the palace, where the fountains were synchronized to classical music. She learned that Baroness Béatrice loved to have friends over and was never late because there were so many clocks around le salon!

After the Palace, we had lunch at la Plage Passable, and then hiked back to Beaulieu-sur-Mer. We threw on our suits and cooled off on the ocean while Patrick took a nap on the beach. Then we headed home to get ready for dinner.

B’s favorite part of the day was going to dinner...we went to La Belle Étoile inVillefranche. Patrick had made reservations days ago and it was so with the wait! The atmosphere and food we’re phenomenal, and it’s runny the sweetest couple. We loved it! And so did the kids!!!

Happy anniversary to Cee Cee and Papa...43 year’s, I think! They sent us a picture that they were in Paris (but from their hotel in Las Vegas overlooking the Paris Hotel). The kids got so excited and wanted to go see them...we can’t wait to see all the Murphy’s for Patrick’s birthday next weekend!

K tried to capture the full moon!
