K's Date Night

On Friday night, Patrick and I went to his company Christmas party. Before we left, Dada told K that he was taking Mama on a date that night, and that Uncle Bri would be watching her for the evening (even though she would already be in bed when we left!). K immediately wanted a "date." She kept saying "Tens-tee date?!" "Mama date?!" "Dada date?!" In response, Dada said that he would take K and Mama on a date on Saturday night.

K is obsessed with Christmas lights! Every time we ride in the car, even at 8 o'clock in the morning, she says "Mo' lights!" She wants to see more Christmas lights, and especially the "Wane-de-er" (reindeer). So, Dada told her that we go to see the Christmas lights for her date.

On Saturday night, we put put K in her jammies and took her grilled cheese to-go in the car. We turned her car seat around to face forward (we are trying to keep her facing backward until age 2 - only a few more weeks to go!) and we headed out to the Holiday of Lights at the Del Mar Fair Grounds. She was so excited! She fogged up the window and smeared handprints all over it! She just kept saying "Mo' lights!" She loved the Santas and the reindeer, and even saw Santa golfing like Dada! (We have ornaments of Santa golfing on our tree, so she thinks Santa golfs with Dada)
