K's first visit with the seals in La Jolla

Even though it was a little chilly out today, the sun was out and it was gorgeous, so we grabbed K and headed to La Jolla. We walked down to Children's Pool Beach where the La Jolla seals hang out. We were sad to find out that they have opened the beach to people, so there weren't as many seals as there used to be. But it was K's first visit, so it was still exciting.

We were there to see the seals, but K was more interested in the dog that she is pointing to in this picture

If you look closely, you can see the seals in the bottom, right corner

Instead of watching the seals on the beach, K is pointing to the seagulls in the sky

Daddy and K took a walk down the little pier to try to get a closer look at the seals, while Mommy stayed with the stroller. Although they are tiny, you can make out K's pink jacket and Patrick's red hat

The waves looked pretty massive from where I was standing to take the pictures!

Daddy tried to point out Mommy to K, but it might have been too far away.

After the seals, we headed to Jose's Courtroom for some Mexican food. K was a big fan of the beans, and her cheese quesadilla

She's never afraid to dig right in!

When Patrick and I first moved to San Diego in 2006, we rented a little condo in La Jolla. Although the traffic was brutal (especially in the summer!), we do miss being able to walk to lots of fun bars and restaurants! Strolling around La Jolla today brought back so many great memories! And it's so much fun to take K to all of our favorite places!
