The Keys

K is an expert mimic and it never ceases to surprise me when she learns something new from watching us when we least expect it. I know that her love of purses and shoes comes from watching Mommy. For months, I have let her play in my makeup bag to entertain her while I put on my makeup. All of a sudden a few months ago, she started dipping the powder brush on the lid of the powder and dusting it onto her cheeks!

This morning was no exception. I was doing dishes in the kitchen while K was playing in the family room with her toys. I glanced over at her and noticed that she was very intently trying to insert her play keys into the lock on the door to her play house. She would turn the key and then open the door as if she had unlocked it. It was so cute!

A little later on, I was upstairs getting ready in my bathroom. The bottom drawer is reserved just for her to play in, with kleenex boxes, toilet paper rolls, empty makeup bags, and my box of scarves and headbands. This morning, she went straight for the scarves and headbands! And she thought it was hilarious! Check it out!
