On the road to Santa Barbara!

After B opened his presents, we packed up and headed out! Patrick was on his way East to the Masters, so the kids and I went to see Cee Cee and Papa in their new digs in Montecito. Their house is fully under construction now for the remodel, so they are renting an apartment right on Coast Village...urban living in Montecito! And we were so excited to see them! K was counting down the days, then the hours, then the minutes...

We hit a lot of traffic right away, but they were so good! After 3 hours in the car, we stopped in LA for some Carl's Jr.

When we finally got to Cee Cee and Papa's, the kids were stir crazy! B was running around tangling himself in his birthday balloons.

We walked to the toy store for B to pick out his birthday present, and the kids saw these little quarter machine rides outside the grocery store. They rode them lots of times and loved every minute!

When we got back to the apartment, the kids opened their treats from the toy store, one of which included some styrofoam packing. The kids thought it was hilarious to crumble it up and it was everywhere! Especially on Papa's head!

We went to Mollie's for dinner and the kids got their yummy noodles for B's birthday dinner. 

Then we sang happy birthday to our big 2 year-old boy!

And he blew out the candle like a pro!

It was late, so we raced home and threw him in the tub...he was so excited about this duck! Cee Cee and Papa bought this duck bath for K when she was a baby five years ago. She took one look at it it and freaked out, but Baby Jack and B love it!

Even though the tub is super tiny, B was trying to fit is whole little body in there, and then rolling over and over. He cried when it was time to get out!

I think he had a really great birthday! I can't believe he's 2! We love you, beautiful boy!
