Back to St. Louis for Ellen's Wedding

After being home for only a week, the kids and I went back to St. Louis for my good friend, Ellen's wedding. But, before the wedding, we went up to see MaMa.  MaMa treated us to breakfast, and then we played in her backyard.  K had the best time!  She got to swing on the same swing set that was CeeCee's when CeeCee was a little girl!

That night, I headed out to the wedding while DeeDee and Grandpa Shelby watched the kids (thank you so much!!!!!)  Ellen married a wonderful man named Sundeep...they are so in love and I am so very happy for them (I didn't get a good shot of Ellen and Sundeep, but I hope to get one soon when their pictures come out!)! Here is the bride with her dad, aka Pastor Joe, who is so sweet! 

It was kind of like a mini high school reunion for me, which was so great! Here are my besties from high school...so excited to all be together again for such a beautiful day!!! 

 

I met up with my friends from law school for brunch on Sunday.  It was so great to see Christie and Justin, and Erin and Ryan, and their beautiful kiddos!  Justin helped me carry B to the car after we ate.  B must have been so tired, he fell asleep right in Justin's arms during the 5 minute walk!

Christie and Justin's daughter, Vivi, was so cute and dressed in her Halloween best!

When we got back to DeeDee and Grandpa's house, the kids and I were pooped from our travels and the weekend, so we all took a much-needed snooze!  I woke up and couldn't resist capturing this moment!

It was so much fun to stay at DeeDee and Grandpa Shelby's house!  We got to spend a lot of quality time with them just relaxing at the house.  K had a great time with both DeeDee and Grandpa, and with Maddy.  It was so wonderful to just hang out with them, and I can't thank them enough for all of their help with the kids!  I could not have made it through without them and they are so sweet and generous to us!

 

I love my babies and they were such troopers to travel with me on this trip right after vacation!  K was definitely ready to get home.  She asked, "Mama, can we please stay in San Diego for a while like my friends?!"
