K's Birthday Bash!

The birthday fun continued at K's 3rd birthday party.  We had it at Choo Choo Park again this year (it was so easy last year that I couldn't resist!), and I think it was a hit with all of the kids.  Princess K had to wear her new princess dress, of course, and waited patiently for her friends to arrive to her princess party.

 

She was so excited when Keaton and WyWy showed up! 

And Weston was all decked out for the occasion!

And some singing and cupcake time...

They could barely wait until K was finished blowing out her candles! 

And they all dug in!

Yum!  I made K's cupcakes again this year, and she wanted purple frosting with princess sprinkles... 

Weston really liked the cupcakes!  So much so that he did a little dance!

And then it was pinata time!

Each of the kids took quite a few turns... 

But the pinata would not budge!

Uncle Jesse finally took a few swings and busted it open and there was sooooooooooooooo much candy! 

We definitely learned a few things about having a pinata at a birthday party since it was our first time: (1) Don't fill it up so full...it was way too heavy and we had way too much candy!  I had to send a huge bag with Patrick to work so that it wouldn't sit around our house forever! (2) Go through the candy first.  We just bought three big bags of candy from Costco and didn't realize there were things like jolly ranchers and gobstoppers...not the best candy for toddlers!  Next time, we know!

But the kids loved it and had a really great time stuffing their bags full of candy!  And I think K had a great 3rd birthday!
