Swimming Lessons

K has been taking weekly swimming lessons since April and is becoming quite the little fishy! She floats on her back, blows bubbles, kicks her legs, and goes under water, among other things. She's doing so well that they told us she gets to move up into the big-girl class where Mama doesn't have to get in the water (yay!!!)! I usually take her by myself, so we haven't been able to get any pictures of her, but CeeCee came along this week and got lots of pictures of K splashing around!
We sing a few songs throughout the class to keep the kiddos entertained.
K's back-floats have improved so much. She just lays back and relaxes with her ears in the water and everything (her poor, little knees are all banged up from falling last week)!
Here she is with her teacher, Miss Katie, who is amazing!
K checking out the camera...
K's teacher gives out toys to get the kids to do certain things. K thought it was hilarious to squirt Mama with her fish!
Here she is coming up from going under water. I'm so proud of her! A few weeks ago, she would not even attempt to go under water, and now she's doing it all the time!
Splashing is her favorite!
You can tell she's having a good time!
K loves to swim around with the floating dumbell and kick her feet.
She swims around the pool and reaches for toys.
It allows her to be independent, which I'm sure is what K likes about it.
We're so proud of our little fish!
