Mini Vacay to Santa Barbara

So...new job = time off! Who knew?! Patrick got a new job!!!! We're so excited!!!! As a result, he was able to take a little bit of time off before he started, so we headed up to Santa Barbara. Grandma Cindy and Papa Murphy were off to Napa, so we had their house to ourselves and just got to relax for a few days (Thank you to Grandma Cindy and Papa Murphy...we had the best time!).

We took K to the Santa Barbara Zoo, which is small, adorable, and the perfect size for K! We saw birds and flamingos...

...and monkeys (I'm not referring to K; there are real monkeys in the background that I'm not sure are visible in this picture!)...

...and elephants...

...and gorillas (who knocked on the glass where we were standing!)...

...and giraffes, too!

There is a little train that circles the perimeter of the Santa Barbara Zoo. We rode the train all the way around, which took a total of about 5 minutes! K loved every minute of it and didn't want to get off of the train when it stopped...




K loved the zoo and we will definitely visit again when we are up in Santa Barbara!
