We headed to St. Louis

We went to St. Louis in early June for our annual summer trip to see family and friends and it was HOT!!! The temperature was high 90's all week with high humidity. We had a very busy dance card throughout the week and K loved every minute of it! We had so much fun visiting everyone, but it was also nice to come home to San Diego weather!

We went to Auntie M and Bill's engagement party at Old Warson. Here is the happy couple, who are due to marry in December in Dallas, where they live.

We had so much fun seeing the Flemings, too...they are just wonderful people and we are so happy for Megan and Bill!

It was great to have the whole family together! K ran all over the party, greeting all of the guests and handing out dinner rolls. By the end of the night, she was pooped, but we managed to get her to look at the camera before she passed out in her carseat on the way home.

Then, it was all about the Shelbys! Grandpa Shelby made his famous lamb and pork chops on the grill, and made some delicious chicken for me, too! We thought K would be so excited to swim, but she was a little apprehensive and did not enjoy it at all.

We had family pictures at Laumier Park. It was absolutely scorching outside! By the time the photographers got it together, it was prime naptime for K, so you can imagine what it was like to get her to smile! She only wanted Momma to hold her and we were basically stuck together from the heat! But, the pictures turned out amazing! It's so nice to have a picture of the Shelbys...it was long overdue!

I was trying to get K to stop crying and to smile, so I am talking through a few of the pics, but everyone else looks great in this picture!

Grandpa Shelby and Glamma Donna (we're trying to get K to call her "DeeDee")

Grandpa with his girls!

DaDa, Momma, and K

The girls! We miss Auntie Lauren soooooo much!

We headed to MaMa's house up North, and of course, she was bearing gifts for K...two new babies! K was so excited and had the best time with MaMa! K thanked her with kisses...

K loved MaMa's house and was so happy to be there!

Drinking out of baby's bottle...

And trying to share...

K had so much fun in MaMa's grocery cart...

K loved spending time with MaMa and we can't wait to visit again!

We got to visit with my friend, Lexie, and her precious daughter, Vivian, who just turned 2. K had just woken up from a nap, so she was a little shy...

But the girls played so well together...

And even gave each other hugs and kisses goodbye!

It was great to see Lexie and Vivian! We miss our friends so much!
We headed over to the Southern's for dinner. Patrick and Gordon became friends in high school, and Gordon and his wife, Lindley have 3 adorable kiddos. They were so sweet to K!

A.W. let K help him feed the dog, which K LOVED!

And he even taught her how to play with some of their toys...so precious!

K was enamored with Gordon's backpack and sat there to clip it on over and over, which she got such a kick out of!

K got a big hug from Ella, the oldest of the 3 kids.

And the boys hung out on the front porch for a little while chatting. Here is Patrick with his good friends, Greg Hardy (also from high school) and Gordon.

We had such a great time seeing the Southerns and the Hardys and we can't wait to see them again soon!
