K is 16 Months Old today!

The time has flown by! K is running around everywhere and loves to explore. She likes to go on walks outside and say hi to all of the animals...birds, dogs, snails! She always wants us to take the Cozy Coupe with us on our walks, but just to carry her toys and sippy cup. She prefers to walk, rather than ride now. She still loves when airplanes or helicopters fly over. She stops whatever she is doing, points to the sky, and then waves at the airplane...she's saying hi to Grandpa Bill!

She's still chatting constantly and learning new words all the time. One of her new favorites is "uh-bah" (up). She wants to sit where the adults sit, but she can't quite climb yet. She is always demanding "Uh-bah! Uh-bah!" to sit on the kitchen chairs, the couch, or the leather chair in the living room. Another new favorite is "oooooh-oooooh!" (uh oh). She loves to drop things on the floor and say it, and then wants Mommy or Daddy to pick them up.

She still has 8 teeth, but has 3 incisors coming in at the same time! As a result, her eating has dropped off a little bit and she's not sleeping at night as well as usual. But she's been taking some great 3-hour naps! She is still addicted to berries and loves anything salty.

Patrick had to work from home a few days this month because he was so busy from the time he woke up that he never could get out of the house and away from the phone and computer long enough to drive to work. K was more than happy to help him out with his work!

K got a new sprinkler from the Easter Bunny. I always loved sprinklers as a child, so I decided to break it out the other day when it was warm. She was a little scared of the sprinkler, itself, but loved playing in the water






Patrick took K up to the park to play today while I had a much-needed Mommy's Day Out. She loves the swings, the sand, the slide, and just climbing! We try to get to the park at least once a day because she loves it so much.
