B says "Hi!" and waves his hand back and forth. He started it the day before Thanksgiving. Even when he's staring at his own reflection in the mirror or a window, he will wave his hand and say, "Hi!" to himself.
B absolutely LOVES his Dada and lights up when Patrick enters the room. He gets especially excited when Patrick comes home from work. He is definitely more comfortable with men, in general, just as K is/was with women. And it's crazy that he is fascinated by cars, trucks, wheels, tools, trains, and lots of other stereotypical "boy" things. How do they know?! People always ask if I notice any differences with a baby boy after having a baby girl. It's truly amazing the things that B is drawn to at such a young age, just as K was drawn to babies, shoes, and purses :)

B loves food and eats almost everything we put in front of him. We even started finger foods like puffs. He sometimes eats 2 or 3 servings of food, and then wants to nurse right after. He is an eating machine!
I have to say that the sleep situation has not improved. He takes 2 to 3 naps per day (I'm ashamed to say that some are in the car or stroller!), and sleeps from 6:00 p.m. to 5:30 or 6:00 a.m., waking 3 to 5 times per night. It seems that B does not want to be alone in his bed, and the more active he gets with sitting up, crawling, and moving around, the harder it is to get him to settle down and go to sleep. We are traveling around the holidays, but I think it's time for sleep training again when we get home!

Mimi and Grandpa Bill came to visit for a few days to celebrate the holidays. It was so wonderful to spend some time with them, and we really enjoyed all being together.
