Chicago! Chicago!

From Florida, we flew directly to Chicago!  Dada had to speak at a conference, so K and I tagged along to see Auntie Lauren and to show K some of Chicago.  We loved spending so much time with Auntie Lauren and we really had a great time!

Auntie Lauren really knows her way around the city.  It was definitely a trip of planes, trains, and automobiles, and K was such a trooper!  Our first stop was the Aquarium, where Dada and I remember going as kids.

K was so pooped after the traveling and the aquarium that she fell asleep in the stroller for the first time in years!  (By the way, we borrowed this stroller from a friend and it is our new favorite!  K fits, she loves it, and it is the best for traveling.)
That night, we went to Bandera for dinner....yummy!
The next day, while Dada was working, Auntie Lauren took us around the city and to her neighborhood.  We hopped on the train...K is such a good, little traveler!

We walked around Wrigleyville, where we bought T-shirts from Murphy's Bleachers.  Dada's Grandpa Murphy owned a bar by the same name over 60 years ago across from Sportsman's Park in St. Louis.
We got to see Auntie Lauren's cute, cute apartment, where K snoozed 'em up for naptime.  Then we met Dada and headed to the Navy Pier.  K got all kinds of treats!
K and Dada had a blast eating treats and running around the pier.

Awwww!  Kisses for Dada!
Dada was quite the photag that day!

K was posing and Dada was snapping away...

The girls!
Our last day, Auntie Lauren, K and I went to the Willis (Sears) Tower while Dada was busy working.  It was hard to get a good picture, but the view was pretty vast!
When K asked where we were going, I told her that we were going up in a tower like Repunzel.  When we got there, she said, "Mama, where's Punzel?"

And yes, I bribed my daughter with a lollipop in order to let me take some pictures of her in the tower!
We had an amazing trip to Chicago, and it was so wonderful to spend so much time with Auntie Lauren!  We hadn't seen her since Christmas, and we miss her so much!  K keeps asking when we can go to Auntie Lauren's house...hopefully, again soon!
