San Diego County Fair

Our friends, FJ and Tiffany, came to visit with their almost-2 year-old son, Mason. We thought it would be fun to take the kids to the county fair since we had never been ourselves. It was definitely an experience with the crazy food (chocolate bacon...what?!), livestock (the most beautiful cows I have ever seen were labeled "prize winning veal"...so sad!), and lots of rides for kiddos K and Mason's size. Fun was had by all...

K and Mason loved fishing ducks out of the pond for prizes!

What could be better?!

And then it was time for the rides...

The swings were a huge hit! They even wanted to ride twice!

K rode in a canoe...

And Mason LOVED the big trucks!

We tried the Carousel, but K would not let me actually set her on the horse. She wanted to be held.

That night, K and Mason snuggled in to watch a little Cars 2 before bed...so cute!

We had such a great visit with the Merendas and we hope they come back again soon!
