The Welch Family Visits San Diego

It was a busy weekend at Casa de Murphy when my good friend, Tara, from college, her hubby, Tyler, and their three kiddos - Noah and Jack (age 3) and Tessa (20 months) - came to stay with us. K was in heaven and we all had so much fun! K is notoriously cranky when she wakes up from her nap, but she was so happy that her friends were here to play with, that she was happy as a clam after naptime!

Of course we had to take the Welch kids to choo choo park, K's favorite! It was so windy and cold, though, the kids wanted to go home after about 30 minutes. K has never asked to leave choo choo park before, but her little hands were ice. And I have never seen the ocean here so rough and choppy...it was all white caps.

We heard the train coming (K's favorite part!), so the kids ran over to wave as it passed.

Then, another train was coming!


It is so hard to get 4 kids to smile and look at the camera at the same time!

Before they left the next morning, the kids waited for the trash truck to come by...so exciting! K was still in her jammies with crazy hair...



We had a great visit and we're so glad that the Welch family was able to come and stay with us. We hope they come back again soon!
