K is 20 Months Old!

She's getting so big and growing up so fast! She is talking up a storm and putting all kinds of words together. This morning I made her eggs and toast, and when she ran out of toast, she said, "More toast please." I just about fell out of my chair! Patrick and I look at her in amazement all the time because she is like a little adult now. She knows exactly what she wants and can sometimes be quite bossy in letting you know. I have no idea where she gets that from?! (Wink! Wink!)

A few weeks ago, K started counting, but only from four to seven; random, I know. We were driving in the car this morning and working on her numbers. When I said "One," she continued with "Two, Three, Four, Five, Six." She got stuck on Seven, but once I said it, she continued with "Eight, Nine, Ten." And then we clapped ecstatically for her achievement. I was so proud, and even got her to count a few more times today already.

K is learning her colors and is getting better with them every day. Although, when you ask her what color something is, her first answer will most likely be "Beloo". If you ask her again, you sometimes get the right color. I know she will have all of the colors down really soon, so we just keep plugging away!

K loves to play pretend, whether it be a tea party, feeding her babies, or shopping at the grocery store. She has her little shopping cart and fake groceries. We set up a little store in the living room and she goes around and collects what she needs into her cart. It's pretty hilarious because she will even try to talk on her pretend phone, with it at her shoulder, and grocery shop at the same time....just like Mama! And she still LOVES her accessories! Right now, she is way into necklaces and bracelets and even wants to get into Mama's jewelry every chance she gets (in addition to Mama's makeup, shoes, and purses!).

K's new obsession is brushing her teeth, which is not so bad! Whenever Patrick or I brush our teeth, she insists that she stand up on the tub (we have a marble slab around our tub with a bench of sorts that connects with the sink vanity) and brush her teeth as well. We keep a toothbrush in there just for her and she will turn on the water and stand there forever brushing her teeth with water. I think she only brushes the front ones, so I still have to give them a once over myself with the toothbrush, but it's progress!

K has graduated from vitamin drops to actual gummy vitamins. She thinks they taste like her bunny fruit snacks so she always asks for "Mo!" I put them up high in the kitchen because Patrick and I are afraid we will find her one day hands-deep in her vitamin jar eating the whole thing! Somehow she manages to get all kinds of jars and containers open that are meant to be child-proof, so we can't take any chances!

I took her to the park yesterday and wanted to get a few pictures of her. Here she is in Cozy Coupe on our way to the park...the only way she likes to travel!

She loves to climb the stairs and is getting better and better at doing it on her feet without help. She sometimes wants me to come with her and will say "Mama, up!"

Swinging is by far her favorite pastime at the park and she will swing for hours on end...

Sometimes she loves the camera and sometimes she hates it...today was more of a hate-it-day, so I got a lot of "No!" and scrunched up faces!

When the swing slowed down, she just held her arms out and waited for me to start pushing her again....but she loves the swing so much, she didn't even care that it had slowed!

It was cloudy out and I wanted take some pictures, so I didn't make her wear her hat. I have her trained so well, though, she demanded that I get her hat after only a few minutes at the park! She knows that in order for her to go outside, she needs shoes, socks, sunscreen, and her hat! I have to keep her safe from the California sun!

All smiles!

Down the slide...

K got a little side-tracked on our way home, but these are the moments I love to watch!
