Star Student of the Day!

K was grinning ear to ear when I picked her up today...the first day she was happy at pick-up! She was awarded Star Student of the day by her English teacher for finishing her work so quietly. She was so proud and we are so proud of her!

We have had tears at drop off each day so far, and anger mixed with sadness each day at pick-up. Going five days per week, for a longer day, with continuous lesson plans and instruction (as opposed to free play) is a whole new world! K is hanging in, but I am so happy to have my happy K back for a little today! I just hope that each day gets a little easier for her and she starts to love school again. But today is a good day!
