Dada had to head back home for work, but the kids and I stayed a few extra days to see some family. Dee Dee and Grandpa invited the family over for a BBQ...it was so great to see everyone! Aunt Glo is so great with the kids!
And it was so wonderful to see my cousin, Michelle, as well as the rest of the family! I miss everyone so much and only get to see them maybe once per year. It's never enough!
The next day, we went to the famous St. Louis Zoo! It's so amazing and free!!! The kids loved it, especially riding the train. Unfortunately, a kettle corn stand caught fire and they shut down a part of the zoo, so we left early. But there was lots of excitement on the way to the car with all of the fire trucks and even a helicopter!
We all ended up with stuffy noses, so we mostly just hung out at Dee Dee and Grandpa's our last few days. But, we did manage to make it to Tucker's for lunch with Grandpa. It was delish! Aside from family and friends, Tucker's is one of the things we miss most about St. Louis! Luckily, Grandpa keeps us pretty stocked with ingredients so that we can at least have Tucker's pizza in San Diego!
That night, I met a few of my besties from high school for dinner...Ehren recently moved to Colorado, and we didn't get to take a picture before Sarah had to leave early, so it wasn't all of us, but it was so much fun to chat and catch up!
Our trip went by too fast! I think we need just a few more days next time! Thank you so much to Dee Dee and Grandpa for hosting us and for ALL of their help with the kids! We miss you guys and we can't wait to see you again soon (hopefully in Florida for vacation!!)!
