K's Disneyland Birthday Spectacular!!!!

Instead of a party this year, we took K to Disneyland for her birthday! We went up the night before and stayed at the Disneyland Hotel.  CiCi and Papa were so sweet to come with us to Disneyland to help us with Baby Brother.  We bummed around Downtown Disney the day before the park, and even met up with Amy, Jesse, Weston and Charlotte for dinner. On our walk back to the hotel, there was a band playing, and K and Weston went to town dancing!  It was so cute! K was so excited, that she couldn't even fall asleep that night!

The next morning, we got up to early to get ready for the park.  I took B down to find some breakfast and it was 37 degrees out! Yikes! Hence, the need for lots of layers. K insisted on wearing her Aurora dress, too! We walked into the park and K wanted to go straight to the castle...
We toured the castle and it was a little bit scary with Maleficent. Then, she saw the Snow White ride and wanted to ride it, but it was "Snow White's Scary Adventures." I was a little nervous because that would be her first ride, but she did pretty well.  We decided to move on to some less scary rides for a while...

The infamous Teacups!  K loved them even though she really doesn't know Alice in Wonderland yet.
We headed to Toon Town next to tour Minnie and Mickey's respective houses.  K was scared and wouldn't get a picture with Minnie, so I was attempting to show her that it was ok...
It took a lot of convincing to even get her to take a picture in Mickey's house...
But when Mama and Dada said they were getting a picture with Mickey, she thought she better come, too. She would not, however, stand next to Mickey (or any other character that day).  As you'll notice, Mama is always between K and the character with whom we are taking a picture!

Goofy tried to have a conversation with her, but she just buried her head in my arm...
Please pardon my sweats! I did not pack appropriately for the weather!
K wanted to go for a ride...

She was finally getting the hang of the whole picture thing and even smiled for a picture with Pluto!
I think we spent over an hour in Toon Town getting pictures with all of the various characters.  We were trying to warm her up for dinner with the Princesses!
After a ride on the Chipmunk's Roller Coaster, and few of the scarier rides like Pirates of the Caribbean, we thought we should give her a reprieve.  So, we just went on the Tom Sawyer boat ride in Frontier Land.
K wanted to take some pictures, so she took a few of us...
And then about 20 of this...
We tried to go back to see Elsa and Ana from Frozen, but the line was 2 1/2 hours long!  K settled for peaking in the window! We could kind of make them out behind the tinted glass.  Then, we just bummed around a little until it was time for dinner with the Princesses.
We crossed over into California Adventure, and headed to Ariel's Grotto for dinner with the Princesses. Even though K was still a little apprehensive, she did start talking to the princesses throughout dinner.  Ariel was waiting to take pictures with us when we walked in the door.
And then, each Princess came to our table to say hello while we ate. After dinner, we rode the Ariel ride, which was perfect for K's age....all the songs from the movie! And then we rode the tractors in Cars Land...so much fun!!!! After that, Dada was pooped and wanted to go home!  K and I were pretty tired, too!

When we asked K what her favorite part of Disneyland was, she said "Dinner with Weston and seeing Elsa and Ana through the window!" She's so funny!

Meanwhile, Baby Brother was having a blast with CiCi and Papa!  They took him into the Disneyland Park a little while after we left and they had a really great time!  They didn't get to ride any rides, but B took two 2-hour naps in the stroller and just had a ball with Cici and Papa!  It worked out perfectly because we met up a few times for me to feed B and just say hi, but Patrick and I got to spend the whole day with K for her birthday! Here are some of the pictures that CiCi and Papa sent us throughout the course of the day...

B loves balloons, and I think they looked and looked all day until they finally found one for him!
Disneyland is truly, truly a magical place and we had the best time spending K's first Disney experience with her!  We are so thankful to CiCi and Papa for everything!!!! For helping to make K's 4th birthday so special, and for taking such great care of B!!!!!!
