One last date...

Our good friends, Tracy and Mark, agreed to take K for the afternoon to play with her bestie, Abby, so that Patrick and I could have one last date.  We made it for the afternoon (since I am usually in bed by 8:00 these days!) for a movie and an early dinner, and it was fantastic!  We love K, and we are enjoying every last day we have with her as an only child.  In the next 10 days, our lives will change when Baby M makes 4.  And it was wonderful to spend a little one-on-one time with my hubby before that happens!  Since I actually got dressed and did my hair and make-up, I thought I should take a belly picture.  Here I am at 38 1/2 weeks.

While I have been having contractions for weeks, on Thursday morning at 2 a.m., they started up and were 6 minutes apart! I got kind of excited when they kept up for an hour....and then another hour...and then another. By 9:00 a.m., they were still going, but they weren't getting stronger, or closer together. I had a doctor's appointment that morning and was hoping for good news (like I might be in labor!). The contractions had slowed a little by the time of my appointment, and unfortunately, I had not made any progress. While I was bummed that it wasn't the day, the contractions had continued and were getting stronger by the day. Patrick is sure this baby is coming this weekend...stay tuned!
