Our 5th Anniversary and Father's Day!

Patrick and I have been married five whole years this past Saturday!  We decided to celebrate by taking a mini-vacay down the street at the Grand Del Mar (it is literally about 1 mile from our house!).  Our friends offered to take K for the day and night (her first sleepover!) so that we could get away. K was so excited all week asking to go to "Keaton and Wy Wy's house." With three kids on their hands, our friends planned a jam-packed day and K had a blast! She went to Hullabaloo (musical concert for kids), she played at the park, and got to eat lunch at El Pollo Loco. Check out how happy the kids are on their way home...

We got updates throughout the day and evening as to how she was doing and she really did great! She loves it there so much! She made and decorated brownies for Dada for Father's day and went to bed early even though she was not sleeping in her own bed!

Meanwhile, Patrick and I got to lounge by the (adult!) pool, take naps, and go to an amazing dinner at Addison! It was fabulous! 



The next morning was Father's Day, so we picked K up at 8:00 a.m. Even though I know she had a great time and had a good night's sleep, she was so happy to see us that she cried! She gave us the biggest hugs and would not let go of us! And although we had a great time, too, we missed her terribly and were so happy to pick her up! We took her back to the hotel for yummy pancakes and to swim in the children's pool. It was a sunny, warm, beautiful day, and we had a blast! We brought K home around noon to feed her lunch and give her a nap, but she was so tired that she was falling asleep at the kitchen table! She took a three-hour nap! We all had a wonderful weekend...a great anniversary celebration, a great Father's Day, and a fantastic first sleepover for K!
