We got there early to set up, and K was so excited to see the train right away.
She was definitely ready to party in her shades and rainboots (nevermind that it was 75 degrees and sunny...she won't leave home without those rainboots sometimes)
K's good buddy, Max, was one of the first to arrive, so K was so excited!
Unfortunately, the two bumped heads and K got a boo-boo that made her cry...we cheered her up with cupcakes!
This is what she had waited for all day! We sang happy birthday and she pretended to blow out the candle (it was super windy during the singing, so the candle would not stay lit!)
Then, she chowed down on the cupcake. She especially loved the Hello Kitty candy on top!
Here is DaDa with K's friend, Weston. Weston gets a kick out of DaDa!
Now, she was ready to party on the playground! Boots and jacket were off, her hat was on and her clam-diggers were up!
She and Max went to work in the sandbox
Soon, it was time to go home for some real lunch and a nap (wishful thinking on my part!). The fun continued when K got home and Mama was making her lunch...she got to play doctor with Cici
And then, K got to open presents!
K's first present was a pink, bedazzled helmet...whatever could it be for?!
None other than her very own matching, pink, bedazzled tricycle!
Dada helped her with the pedals, but she needed Grandpa Bill to adjust the seat for her...then it was the perfect height!
It even has a light (and switch) for all of the night-riding she will be doing!
K headed back inside for more Hello Kitty gear, but the helmet stayed on!
She was so excited about the trash/recyle truck that she got from MaMa all the way from St. Louis. K is obsessed with the trash and recyle trucks that come every Monday...we have to run to the window and watch them empty all of the bins until they're no longer in sight, so this gift was perfect!
K had a wonderful day, and it wasn't even her true birthday yet! Thanks so much to Mimi and Grandpa Bill for ALL of their help with the party!
