We went through security and headed toward the restaurant. When we got to the lobby, they immediately asked Patrick if he had pants. We both looked at each other and though maybe we were misunderstanding the French. But, since Patrick was wearing shorts, they had a dress code and wanted him to wear pants! Fortunately, or unfortunately, they had a spare pair in the coat room. Patrick was a good sport and put them on for lunch.
While lunch left much to be desired, the view was spectacular! And we got up to the top fairly quickly. Of course, both kids said their favorite part of the day was going up in the Eiffel Tower.
For dinner on our last night in Paris, we ate at La Fontaine de Mars. It was, by far, the happiest and kindest wait staff that we encountered in Paris, and the food was phenomenal! And they even had Ice cream from Berthillion. Delicious!
