B is 19 Months Old!

B is still wearing 18-24 month clothes, and some 2Ts, and a size 6 1/2 shoe.  He has 9 teeth and still has about 7 on their way through (so painful!).  I'm not sure if I have already conveyed the level to which he will go to be one of the big kids, and the terrible-two tantrums are here!  He refuses to sit in a high chair, but rather wants to sit in a big kid chair like K.  Sometimes, he even refuses the booster seat, which can be a challenge with most tables since he's still little.  He rides his scooter like a champ, and amazes all who see him do it!

But, I have to say that the biggest development is that he is using the potty!!!  I put out the little potties a few months ago just in case he might be interested.  Now, he grabs his diaper and grunts when he wants to go, and he's going one to two times per day in the potty!  He gets an M&M each time he goes successfully, and he loves them!  It started right after he turned 18 months.  I can't believe it, and I hope that the streak continues.

While potty training may be on the horizon, he is also still nursing (I am a slave to the tantrums that result when I try to wean!).  But he sleeps through the night, so that is a plus!  He usually takes one little nap in the morning (usually in the car or stroller), and then a longer nap after lunch.  He doesn't always make it until after lunch, though.  Daylight Savings ending has really thrown us off with the whole nap time routine.  But he's ready for bed at 6:00 or 6:30, and sleeps until 5:00 or 6:00 a.m. (hopefully 6!).

B is still obsessed with trucks, and his vocabulary is expanding due to his love of trucks!  When he says truck, it sounds a little like "duck," but it's so cute!  And trash truck is "das duck" (said in a strong and excited whisper!).
