B is 18 Months Old!

He weighs 23 lbs. 12 oz. (43%) and is 33 1/4 in. tall (77%).  He's still wearing 18 to 24 month clothes and a 6 1/2 shoe.  He follows his sister around and wants to be a big kid just like her.

B is really enjoying the water!  He has no fear in the pool or the ocean, which is a good thing and a bad thing!  We could not keep his head out of the water on vacation...he wanted to go under water all the time.  So much so, that we started to worry and bought him a floatie just to keep him above the water!

B definitely understands a lot of what we say, but he is a man of few words.  Even the words he knows, he doesn't really want to use.  He would rather grunt.  Sometimes I feel like he just yells and grunts at me all day until he gets what he wants.  But, like most second children, he doesn't need to talk because K does most of the talking for him!  And we all understand most of his grunts and get him what he needs.  Occasionally, he will go on a spree of repeating everything K tells him to say.  It's pretty funny to hear all of the crazy things he will attempt to say.  But only K can get him to do this!  He does say, "Hi!", "Dada," "De De" (Kensley), and "Ow-ooh" (I love you, which is just like his sister said!).  And funny thing...he started calling me "Mama" finally!  He waited until family vacation and called me "Mama" the whole week...I love it every time he says it!  He has babbled "ma ma ma" for a long time, but never in particular reference to me.  Now he does!

B is still obsessed with trucks!  And while he doesn't use many words, he does say, "das duck" (trash truck) in an excited whisper.  He loves them!  And gets so excited every time he sees one.

B loves pointing to his body parts: if you ask him, "Where is your nose?", he will point to it.  He knows eyes, mouth, ears, hair, belly, hands, feet, and toes. And he likes pointing to ours, too, including trying to stick is finger in our noses and/or mouths (yuck!).
