B just had a new tooth come on the bottom, for a total of 8 teeth (4 on top and 4 on bottom). The pediatrician thinks he's working on his incisors due to the continuous drool, chewing on everything, tugging at his ears, and screaming during bedtime and diaper changes. Poor little guy! Those teeth are brutal!
He is having some major separation anxiety, so we've had a bit of setback with sleeping through the night. He just doesn't want to be alone...as long as we're in there rubbing his back or patting his bum, he's perfectly fine. But, the minute we say goodnight and step out, you have never heard such screams come from such a little person! We put a night light in his room and are trying to distract him with some toys and things in his bed. I remember at this age that K would pull all of her stuffed animals out of her toy box and into her bed to keep her company. B just stands at the end by the door leaning over the rail and screaming for someone to come and rescue him...it's so sad!
Some of his new words are "Tens-lee" (big sister!), "a-boo" (peek-a-boo), "Dad!" and "Mom!", which he yells (I much prefer Dada and Mama, but he's still working on it!). When we pull out our phones to take a picture of him, he immediately says, "sheeeezzzzzz" (cheese!). He's such a little ham!
I found a scooter for him that grows with him. It comes with a little handle that can be used with or without a seat, and then a big handle that can be used when he grows a little. He loves it...
