B is talking up a storm! His favorite word right now is "OOSSS!" which he says with a heavy German accent! We're not sure what he's referring to, but he says it a lot. Some other new words are "Dog," which he said to Buttons and Beau, and "Ball." He also sometimes says, "Hi, Dada!" when Patrick comes home. He LOVES his Dada! He wants to be with Patrick every minute Patrick is home, so it's all about Dada on the weekends!
He is finally sleeping better at night and will sleep from 6:30 or 7:00 until 4:00 or 5:00 a.m., and then go back to sleep until 7:30ish. It's been really nice! He still takes one or two naps a day, but usually doesn't sleep more than 45 minutes or an hour at a time.
B still has 6 teeth, but he definitely has more teeth on the way and is drooling like crazy! He insists on feeding himself and will only eat off of his tray, which is nice for me. But he's becoming more picky and will grunt until I figure out what it is that he will eat. When he's all finished, he starts to throw food onto the floor, which he thinks is hilarious! Especially when I say "No, no!"
We are celebrating his birthday with family over the weekend, and then with his friends next week at the park, but Mimi and Aunt Pat threw him a little impromptu party in the R.V. since we were visiting that day. They got him the cutest little cake and gave him some really cool presents...a lifeguard jeep, a lifeguard helicopter, and an ATM that teaches kids about money. He loved the cake and had a great time with his new toys. But I think his favorite part of Aunt Pat and Uncle Steve's R.V. is the stairs for Buttons and Beau! He spent hours going up and down those stairs!
Here we are with Aunt Pat and Uncle Steve...so much fun to have them here in San Diego!
And Mimi, too!
After the party, B fell asleep in the stroller, so we took K out for some putting. She was showing Mimi and Aunt Pat how it's done!!!
That's the marina in the background with all of the sail boats...Grandpa Bill would have liked it!
The R.V. park has all of these beautiful ducks walking around (I thought they were fake at first because they looked so pretty sitting on the freshly manicured lawn). We even saw a Mama with her 5 little ducklings! Just like the song that we sing all the time...."Five little ducks went out to play..."
