Baby Brother is 11 Months Old!

He is growing before our very eyes! B is getting bigger every day.  He is growing out of his clothes so fast, and is now wearing some 18-24 month and even 2T!  I love it that he gets to wear some of K's hand-me-downs like some of her unisex hoodies and overalls, which are perfect for protecting his knees while he crawls everywhere.  And boy, is he fast!  He is pulling up and cruising around the furniture.  He has even taken 1 or 2 steps here and there.  It won't be long now!

B is definitely very verbal.  In addition to "Dada," "up," "off," and "all done," he is saying "dude," which K and Dada taught him!  He loves to repeat sounds with us and we'll go back and forth and have little conversations with him.  He knows what he wants and will grunt or yell until he gets whatever it is, especially food.  It's amazing how much he understands.  B definitely knows the word "No," and will usually stop whatever he's doing when I say it to him.

B has slept through the night a total of 4 or 5 times, but usually K wakes up for something on those nights, so we're still not in the clear!  And between teething and being sick, most nights he's up 2 or 3 times, which is brutal!  He's napping 1 or 2 times per day, depending on the day and what we have going on.  It always happens that he's ready for a nap when it's time to take K to school or pick her up.  Second child syndrome!

B has two more teeth on top, for a total of 6 teeth.  He insists on feeding himself and will only eat things off of his tray, which becomes a challenge sometimes to get him to eat fruits and vegetables.  I still try to get him to eat some baby food from the pouches, but he will only eat them if he holds the pouch himself.  You can imagine some of the messes!

He loves to be outside, crawling around, riding his bike, swinging at the park, or his new favorite, going down the slide.  He will crawl up to the top of the play structure and is so proud of himself and then immediately wants to go down the slide as fast as he can.

We recently took the kids to the beach to take advantage of the warm weather we've been having.  B could not get enough sand in his mouth!  It tried to stop him for a while, but then I just let it go.  B is all boy!!!!

Check me out in my new big-boy helmet!  To find a helmet that fit is noggin, we had to buy one for 2-5 year-olds! That is the fault of Mama and Dada!

B wants to be just like his big sister!
