For K's first Christmas, we packed our bags and our winter coats and headed back to St. Louis for a quick tour. It even turned out to be a white Christmas! It snowed the perfect amount on Christmas Eve - enough to cover everything with a beautiful dusting, but not enough to mess up the roads or leave us stranded anywhere. Santa even came to Glamma and Grandpa Shelby's house to leave K some goodies. On Christmas Eve morning, Glamma and Grandpa Shelby gave K a few things that St. Nick had left in her stocking. She even got a baby Shake Weight (or a toy that looked like one!). Yummy oatmeal!

"So big!" or "Touchdown" if we're watching football!

She got her very own personalized Christmas CD from Auntie Lauren and a beautiful Nativity Set from Glamma and Grandpa. She loved the baby Jesus and would carry him around the house with her.

Rather than being interested in the presents, K was fascinated with Glamma and Grandpa's beloved dog, Maddie! This was really her first experience with a dog up close and personal. They played cat and mouse games the whole time we were there and K loved every minute of it! She would pet Maddie, and then crawl away for Maddie to chase her. Maddie would chase her and lick K's face and neck, causing K to giggle uncontrollably!

Christmas Eve night, we made a quick pit stop at Aunt Beth and Uncle Freddy's, and then headed back to Glamma and Grandpa's house for their bi-annual Christmas Eve party. After flying late the night before, opening presents, and playing with Maddie, K was pooped!

But refused to go to bed! She did not want to miss the party, so our cousin, Shelby, read her stories, and then she danced the night away with her new dancing Mickey!

Aunt Barb gave K a really great telephone shape sorter that kept K occupied for hours!

On Christmas morning, we opened presents with Glamma and Grandpa Shelby

We headed to MaMa's house on Christmas Day. MaMa made it so special for K! She put up a Christmas tree with plastic ornaments and bells just for K...and K dismantled it quickly in order to play with all of the pretty, sparkly things! MaMa gave K some wonderful toys that K absolutely loved including a spinning top!

We had such a lovely lunch...MaMa had quite a spread and even had K's favorites of mac-n-cheese and string cheese! Then, MaMa got out the kleenex box and let K pull all of them out of the box. K was in heaven!

Auntie M called to wish MaMa a Merry Christmas and K got to say hi. Then she used the kleenex as a hat!

She played so hard and ate so much that she wore herself out and took a nice little snoozy on MaMa's bed while we watched old family videos. Here she is all tucked in for her long winter's nap!
