K is 9 Months Old!

I took K to the doctor this week and she has hit a huge growth spurt! She is 31 1/2 in. long and weighs 23 lbs. 2 oz. I cannot believe how tall she is! I thought that she had grown because a few of her clothes seemed a little short in the last few days, but I had no idea!

K is pulling herself up all the time and walks along the couch or the coffee table. At first, she was not quite sure how to get down from a standing position (she would stand up, and then whine until I put her down into a sitting position). Now, she just plops down onto her bum...it's pretty cute! And she loves, loves, loves to climb the stairs! She knows she's doing something she's not supposed to and just looks back at us to grin (we're right behind her, of course!). We then make her come back down the stairs she has gone up, trying to teach her how to handle the stairs to, hopefully, avoid some nasty spills in the future.

We also have a video monitor over K's bed and she has definitely discovered it! Her new favorite thing is to stand up in her crib and point the camera downward, so that we cannot see her anymore and have to come into her room to get her! She's too stinkin' smart! We are still babyproofing...every day I discover something else that needs to be removed or adjusted to keep her safe.

K's new favorite foods are mac n' cheese and grilled cheese...anything with cheese! I'm still bribing her with cheese to get her to eat her fruits and veggies!

We had a really fun time on Halloween! It was a little difficult to get K's face painted on...she cried big crocodile tears, but we managed to finish in time to go trick-or-treating at a few houses with her friend, Rachel the ladybug. Here are some cute shots...
