All Things Murphy: To Glamma and Grandpa Shelby's House we go!

The weekend before last, we were off to Glamma Donna and Grandpa Shelby's house in Florida for a visit. They have had a vacation home in Fort Myers for 7 years, and built their current home 3 years ago, but we had never been. It was Auntie Lauren's Fall break from nursing school, so it was the perfect weekend for all of us to get together and for them to see K for the first time since May! We had a really wonderful time hanging out, cooking, golfing, swimming, beaching, watching movies, and playing dominos (of course!). Our only complaint was that the long weekend went by way too fast! We miss them so much and cannot wait to see them for Christmas!

Day 1: Dad and Patrick golfed while the girls headed to the beach! K loved playing in the sand, but I had to watch her very closely to make sure that she didn't taste every seashell! She did enjoy some of the local sand!

This swimsuit was meant for K to wear next summer, but she is growing so fast and getting so big, that it was the only one that would fit her for our trip! All her swimsuits from this past summer are too small!

K didn't mind if we stood in the water and held her, but she had no interest in getting into the water herself.

Patrick and Grandpa Shelby met us at the beach after golf. K was so excited to see them!

K stayed on California time, so it was naptime for her, but she did not want to sleep with all of the action!

Finally, she gave in!

Day 2: Glamma, Grandpa and Patrick played golf, while Lauren, K and I hung out at the pool at the house. K loved splashing around on the sundeck.

The house has a view of the 17th green, so Patrick came over to say hello.

Grandpa Shelby worked his magic on the grill that night and made steaks for us, and their friends, the Genoveses, came over to meet K. We were able to take some pictures all together...such a treat!
